One proud senior cat owner implored fellow adopters not to overlook older cats when adopting from an animal shelter.
Too often, people want cute small kittens that are young, full of life, and also (let's be honest) little tyrants. Older cats who have less energy and aren't so tiny anymore are overlooked, which means they are left for months, if not years, without a loving family. Sure, they have the animal shelter vets, but it's not the same as having your own space. See, cats in shelters are put in cages most of the time due to a lack of space in the shelter, and nobody deserves to live like that. So if you are going to adopt, purrhaps consider getting a cat whose chances of getting adopted are slimmer than a kittens.
