'A part time orphanage is crazy': Mom drops 6-year-old daughter at 24 hour daycare, sparks debate about childcare

Parenting is no walk in the park, especially in this day and age. Most moms and dads get to a point where they want a break. Also, if they have to work they often have no choice but to try and navigate the confusing and expensive territory of childcare.

Usually, this service is confined to parents who need someone to watch their kids during conventional working hours. This isn't the case for those in Houston, which according to TikTok is host to a daycare that is also open at night.

When one mom documented trying out the service with her 6-year-old daughter, it's fair to say that reactions were mixed. While some raised eyebrows at her choice, others saw how such a place could be a genuinely good idea. One thing's for sure, keeping a young child awake at midnight probably isn't a great idea for anybody who is involved.

But some of us don't live near family, have no one to watch children, work or take classes at night, etc. And childcare workers need to BE paid MORE. It is one of THE most important jobs. If this had been an option, would have been awesome.
