Going to the vet is always hard for a cat. Going through surgery is even worse for them. But you know which part we think that our cats actually hate the most about the whole process? The cone of shame. Almost every cat that goes through surgery has to get that donned on them, as if they need some embarrassment on top of all the other difficulties.
But not every cat agrees to the cone of shame, and some vets, because they're ameowzing, accommodate those cats. No, no, they don't allow the cats to simply go home without a protective layer. They simply forego the cone of shame. Instead, some cats get the doughnut of doom, and other cats get the toast of terror or the sweater of sweetness, and some cats, like the ones today, get the onesie of funzie and live their very best post-surgery lives.

"My cat had surgery yesterday and was given a onesie instead of a cone… I simply cannot cope with the hilarity of this. It's too darn cute. And the fact she's a little chunky makes it even cuter… She's super happy to be home but she would definitely prefer to be nakey"
"I bought my cat a onesie after a bigger surgery, because she is partially blind and can't tolerate the cone. She was frickin' adorable in her little dress. However, during the night, she managed to take it down and we did not used it again. Fortunately, she did not licked her wound at all."
