It's no secret that tipping culture in America has gotten out of hand in the last few years. Every business with an iPad as their POS system will flip their little screen around to their customers they sheepishly say, 'It's just going to ask you a few questions'… Sorry, but it's hard to justify tipping 35% on a $7 coffee, but the social pressure of the barista with an imperious stare, a septum piercing, and electric pink hair is tough to ignore.
Baristas aren't known for their impressive paychecks after every pay period, but servers, on the other hand, have become notoriously well-off because of the increased pressure on tipping. As a symbol of toxic capitalism and gratuity drama, servers have become a target for arguments against tipping all altogether.
The server in our next story, a waiter in a casino, recently went viral for a controversial take on how poorly they treated a notorious no-tip customer. You can decide for yourself whether or not this server's malicious payback against a customer was justified or if it was ironically out-of-pocket.
