‘Opening up and being vulnerable’: Women Discuss Intimate Bonding Activities That Aren’t Between the Sheets

As women, it takes more than a physical connection to feel intimate with someone. Sometimes you feel it with less contact. What are some other intimate things we do together that don't have to do with bed breaking? Eye contact could be very intimate. When someone has their gaze deadlocked on you, when you feel almost trapped by their eyes and you don't know what mystery they're trying to reveal inside of that gaze, it can be as powerful as what happens in the bedroom. To feel seen, understood, and respected just with a look can be exhilarating. 

And if eye contact isn't your thing, then there's a laundry list of other activities that leave us bonded and interested in someone else. When you open up to people in more ways than one, you're letting yourself have a more fruitful relationship with the given person, and expanding the horizon of your love.
