  Symba was sadly brought to the shelter after his owner was relocating to an assisted living facility that did not allow pets. 

  You would that that after a tramatic even such as abandonment would make a cat sad and hostile, in fact was no affect.

  The staff found themselves completely charmed by this supremely big boy, stating is "very sweet, loves people, and LOVES to be pet." 

  However, his love for affection isn't equal to his excitment for exercise.

  Healthy but... Could Be Healthier

  Although Symba is a wooping 35lbs, he's pretty healthy. However, concerned with the future, Symba will need to loss about 15 pounds in order to stay healthy. In a short video given by the shelter in Washington DC, it's easy to see that Symba isn't a big fan of working out. And like many of us, he will need some help when it comes to maintaining a strict diet and exercise.

  Although Symba's goal weight is 15 lbs lighter, that means he will still be around 20lbs. But he should be living more comfortably. The shelter isn't very worried about finding him a forever home since he's so friendly with a lot of love to give!
