Tolkien Tuesday: The Best Lord of the Rings Memes This Week (March 19, 2024)

Hey, Tolkien fans, how's it going? If you're especially dedicated to the cause, you may realize that we have just passed by the anniversary of numerous momentous happenings in Middle-earth. I say this like most weeks aren't momentous in one way or another, but nonetheless. This week in March includes the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, the slaying of Théoden, and Denethor lighting himself on fire. So, business as usual then.

The great difference between the fandom of Lord of the Rings and its lore is that the former is far more lighthearted than the latter. Sure, they appreciate the serious moments, but they're far more likely to be found cracking jokes on the internet. This is what leads to the many memes that encompass just about every character or scene you could think of and let's be honest, they are a big part of the reason that the franchise is so impactful today.
