We bet “wondering how fish get X-rays” was not on your list of distractions today, but here you are. How do fish get X-rays? They need water so like… Do they put the X-ray in the water? Are those things waterproof?? No. No, they are not. They either X-ray the fish in a bag of water OR they flip it on its side and place a wet towel over it. Now you know…
The craziest thing about pet X-rays is that they always either look ridiculous or adorable while it's being done. For small mammals, they usually have to tape them down… They take their tiny little limbs and just gently tape them down like James Bond on the laser thingy. For small turtles, they place them on a small cup so they stay swimming in the air, but they don't go anywhere. And, oh my, large dogs will have your side-splitting, it's so hilarious. We gathered some photos of this process below. Enjoy!
Speaking of tiny mammals, check out this adorable itty bitty mouse that got rescued by some random dude and now they're inseparable!
