It's a little humiliating when you can't reach something on a high shelf. So much so that short folks have been climbing onto countertops, using broomsticks to destabilize out-of-reach items, and standing on swivel chairs for centuries just to avoid asking for help. But if there's no broomstick in sight and no counters to climb, who can we look to?
Well, the guy in our next story apparently decided that a fellow customer, who was only 2" taller than him, was the perfect man to ask to reach the highest shelf in the store. Although it's pleasant to help out our fellow man, u/ajcorrao, a patron at a sporting goods store, was totally flummoxed when a man of the same stature came to him for assistance. With a desirable item floating high on the top shelf, this helpless customer seemingly thought that AJ's 2" of height was enough to give him a tactical advantage.
To know how this silly story ends, scroll onward. Perhaps it'll lift your spirits knowing that even sitting at 5'9", there's someone out there who thinks you're taller than the Jolly Green Giant–or perhaps you'll get a kick out of a supremely delulu customer tale.
