'It sounds more like a furniture brand': Mom-to-be faces pushback for rejecting husband's absurd baby name
As a parent, one of your earliest and most important responsibilities towards your child is giving them a suitable name. For countless kids, one of their first grudges toward their elders comes from the moniker they received when they were too young to have a say in the matter. It's a process that no mom or dad to be should take lightly.
To be fair, most parents do care a lot about what they are going to call their baby. So much so that they can get blinded by it, as with a recent Reddit AITA in which the name for a firstborn became a hot topic. The wife in the couple complained that her husband wanted to give their baby girl a 'feminized' version of his name, but that name sounded rather strange. Redditors had a few choice words for anybody who was so determined to brand their infant child in such a way.
