Cat lovers know that Italy is the best place to go for kitty sightseeing. With feral cats roaming the cobbled streets, tabby cats lounging at the base of Roman architecture, and meowing muses curling up in the flower boxes, it's tough not to get wrapped up in the romance of taming a street feline. But the logistics of bringing home a cat are far more sobering than the mystical daydreams of un bellissimo gatto coming back home in your carry-on.
Usually, these independent Italian kitties will carry on without their foreign hooman's help, but in our next story, a traveling couple discovers a helpless trio of sick kittens while visiting the grave of a long-lost Nona. Without the couple's help, the kittens would have been finito! Scroll for the entire story of how this wholesome Canadian couple saved the lives of a couple of feral kittens, paying homage to an Italian Nona who would have certainly done the same thing.
