Prehistory is such a fascinating period of time. First of all, it encapsulates millions and millions of years. So much of the existence of the earth has been undocumented in any way. We've literally only had about 5,600 years of "history," as we know it, so it's no wonder why we'd want to figure out as much as we can about the era of the dinosaurs and weird fish things.

When I was a kid, I was super fascinated by Lucy, the oldest human fossil ever found by archeologists. She was found 50 years ago in Ethiopia, and I 100% claim her as my ancestral Eve. I was also super into early humans and our predecessors in my Physical Anthropology class in college. If you like touching sculls, Physical Anthropology might be the field for you.
