25 Memes Better Than Sliced Bread

I think it's time we update the phrase "best thing since sliced bread." We've had sliced bread for such a long time now. It doesn't feel novel or special. None of us can remember when it was invented. It feels pretty intuitive. What else are you going to do with bread? Rip it apart? Eat chunks off of it like a caveman? Yeah, I don't think so.

I propose we shift to a different metric of good inventions. How about, "It's the best thing since TiVo" or "since food delivery apps" or "Tide pods" or "the password-remembering capabilities of most smartphones?" Those are all worthwhile inventions that I use every single day. And I can remember a time when we didn't have them. But I will admit, sliced bread has a certain kind of ring to it that's hard to deny. Okay, go look at these memes while I come up with other alternatives.
