Our baby kittens grow up so fast. One day they are tiny and round with a high-pitched, shrill kind of meow, and the next they are big, still round, and their meow is much more gruff, like a seasoned grandpa. They are always cute, no doubt, but there is something about them when they are itty bitty critters who rely on you to bottle feed them. When they grow up, they need you less. Which, I suppose, is something every parent goes through, pet parent or otherwise.
