Continually taken for granted, these actresses have stepped onto the stage to remind us of women in history whose passion, thought, and leadership has spiraled them into our hearts and minds.

Even through centuries of this or that, we still have a name and face memory of these women in history. How many historical men can you list? Too many, we know. It's time for women to shine just as strongly as men, to have their names and notions remembered in the same way we know Napoleon or King Henry.
