You can't have your cake and eat it too, or in this case, you can't have your sushi and eat it too. Some people think that they can manipulate every situation to benefit them however they like, and it is so satisfying to watch as they end up empty-handed.
Much like the guy in this Reddit story, who thought he could play with OP (original poster) and still get his way. OP invited this guy to attend an event with her and even offered to pay for dinner beforehand. The guy agreed but then tried to make OP go to this sushi place, miles away from where the event takes place. OP offered alternatives, but the guy complained about it and then completely ghosted her. Dude, you get offered a free dinner and event and you have complaints? Your loss. Instead, Queen OP decided she don't need no date to have fun, and took herself on a much-deserving $400 sushi date.
