'It'll only be a couple of years, five at most': Bride calls off engagement after mother-in-law continuously finds reasons to postpone wedding

This is a new one, for sure. Once you get engaged, everyone feels differently about the wedding planning process. Some brides have had their dream wedding planned out for years, so the minute they get engaged, the planning can begin. Then there are other brides who would rather take their time planning a wedding, maybe opting to have a long engagement. Whatever kind of bride you are is perfectly fine, unless your mother-in-law is getting in the way of planning. This bride has tried to set a wedding date four times now, but her mother-in-law keeps postponing it. She keeps reasoning with the couple to wait until their lives are more stable. It was okay at first, but now this bride is fed up. Her and her fiance planned a perfectly lovely ceremony that was extremely low cost and in her mother's backyard, so her mother-in-law couldn't possibly interfere with there plans. Never say never, I guess, because she did just that. After the groom told the bride his mom "has a point" about waiting a couple more years, the bride turned in her ring and called it quits. She even told him he could "move back home with Mommy." Iconic in our opinion, but the bride's inner circle thinks she's overreacting.
