You know what makes us as happy as super-mutant with a mini nuke? - An awesome, faithful TV adaptation of one of our favorite gaming franchises. We are obviously talking about Fallout. Have you seen it? It's really, really good! In fact, it's so good it makes us very optimistic for the future of the "Gaming to TV" genre that has been slowly building up steam over the past few years. With the TV version of The Last of Us being as good as it was, and Arcane being one of the best animated shows in recent memory, you can see why we are cautiously optimistic about other gaming adaptations in the works, like God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and perhaps even Twisted Metal.
Could this be the beginning of a whole new era of television? Where casual, non-gaming folks suddenly understand what we gamers have been raving about for all those years? After all, we get it—not everyone can dedicate over 100 hours of their life, scouring the wasteland for bottle caps and rad-aways, but everyone can sit down and watch a season of a well-structured, well-told, engaging TV series. We want more of those!
