There seem to be a few inevitables in this life (like death and taxes, famously), but one of them is turning into your parents. You can go your whole life trying to do the exact opposite of the people who raised you, but one day you'll find yourself holding your phone a full arm's length from your face, glasses sliding down your nose so you can look at a meme that somebody is trying to show you. Or you'll find yourself looking at Christmas decorations still up in March and think "They should really take those down." Or you might even find yourself rattling cashews around in your fist before knocking them back in one go. Then you know you've become your parents.
I imagine it becomes even worse when you become a parent yourself. Something ancestral and biological takes over you. Luckily these tweets are here to comfort you through it.
