Grumpy Kitty Turns Caretaker Cat When Mother’s Child is Diagnosed With Serious Illnesses, Showcasing the Heartwarming Healing Power of Cats

Hey, feline fanatics. We know that people get cats for a myriad of funny, fuzzy reasons, but one reason that no one ever thinks about is the healing power of cats. Cats have been known to save people's lives (literally and figuratively), becoming teeny-tiny therapists or simply giving their pawrents a renewed sense of life. One cat owner found out that her son was diagnosed with some serious illnesses, and her cat decided to step up to the plate and become "Nurse Kitty" - never leaving the sick child alone and purring on him constantly!

    Once, we got really sick when we were about 10 years old. Don't remember what exactly it was, probably the flu or something, and our cat didn't leave our bed for a week. Even when we were tossing and turning with fever, she stayed by our sides!

    My 4 month old son is sick with , RSV and enterovirus. He's very uncomfortable. Somehow, I think my cat knows. She won't leave him alone and has never shown this affection for him before.

    We love cats! This is so awwdorable - with Nurse Kitty on the job, we're sure that this little guy is going to be okay. Purrs have a natural healing effect, and when you combine that with modern medicine, it's a winning strategy.

    Ezilii 1 day ago I have found that my cats know a lot more than you'd expect. After my mother passed and I had her ashes on the shelf my void kitty would curl up near the urn at 4pm every day. 4pm was when her show was on and he'd curl up with her. Don't worry the urn is secured. If I have a sick household member he's there next to them.

    erand424 1 day ago I'm in college and my roommate has a cat named Tsuki. I got sick the first week of September, right after moving in. Like really sick, we still don't know what it was exactly but so far doctors are thinking it was the starting symptom of a very rare autoimmune disease. I had just met Tsuki a couple days before I got sick, when I moved in.     ellabfine 1 day ago edited 1 day ago Burmese Healing cat on duty. When any of us are sick, the cats will stay close. At one point, we had 3 cats that didn't quite get along so they all had parts of the house that they claimed and no cat was supposed to cross territory. I had pretty badly and they called what I like to call a "cat truce" and all 3 of those cats laid in the bed with me almost the whole time I was sick with it. They would eat/bathroom in shifts and come back when they were done.

    One of those cats I credit with saving my kid's life. I had been on a medication that made me sleep an alarmingly high number of hours in the day. This cat would often wake me in the morning back then by gently biting my toe to get me up to feed her. She had never done this any other time of day. But yes, I think cats are generally quite good at detecting when another animal is not doing very well partly given they're so good at hiding their own ailments typically so in their mind if anything is pretty clear for us. humans it's screaming out loud and in their face comparatively.     TaranisPT 1 day ago • Cats are amazing for that. Once my wife had a surgery and stayed for roughly 2 weeks at the hospital. When we got home our black cat wouldn't leave her side. He would lay as close as it was physically possible to her, if he could have fused with her I think he would have done it. We always called him our little nurse.
