‘She sold all my games for $20’: Gamer loses hundreds of dollars when his mom sells his old GameCube and games in a yard sale without telling him

I am not a gamer, but my boyfriend is, and I know for a fact that if anyone would ever dare touch anything related to his games, whether it is a console or a game, old or new, my boyfriend would never forgive them. Those things are sacred, and remain sacred, no matter how much time passes. This mainly means that his mom can never clear out his old closet, because it is full to the brim with old PlayStations, Xboxes, and yes, even a Wii.

So when I heard about the mom in this Reddit story, who sold her son's GameCube and all of his games for a mere 20-dollar bill, I actually felt my heart break for the guy. Not just because of the money he lost from this ridiculous deal, but because of all the sentimental value that was now gone. Honestly, if mom wanted to clear stuff up, that is fine, but the least she could do was ask her son if he wanted any of this stuff before selling it all in a yard sale.

    A few years later he simply “left it behind” when he moved and lost my games. "I couldn't take everything" he said. Didn't even ask me, and it's not like he had to move suddenly, was going far, or was going to a much smaller place (he went to a full multi-bedroom house with just his girlfriend). I'm still off about it.

I think I got mine for $100 so it's still up there but you would have everything. I'm sorry that happened to your boyfriend.

The family she gave it to weren't even into video games and were incredible trashy.
