Despite the reputation that they often make for themselves on the internet, we can learn a lot from old people. It's true that in some ways, they had to live in tougher times than we do. It's easy to roll our eyes at their habits and sayings when we're growing up, but as an adult? Some of them start to make a heck of a lot of sense.

This is especially true for those who spent their childhoods living with their grandparents. It's inevitable that the influence of the elderly is going to be even stronger in these cases, as proven by a recent amusing Twitter thread. Asking those raised by their grandmas about the habits they had picked up from them, people had a range of responses. Personally, I feel like there is a lot to love when it comes to wearing muumuus and eating salted tomatoes over the sink.
