Recently resigned from a horrible job for a better paying one (and hopefully just overall better). When my line manager found out she started freaking out a bit as I'm the only person in my office who does my job

the correct file but... My last day was on Friday and she opened nothing so come Monday she's in for a role awakening when she has no handover documents, no instructions, no calendar, no contacts, nothing. Oh well!

TLDR: sent my line manner corrupted files which she never opened so now she won't have any of my handover documents on Monday.

EDIT: will update everyone when she opens it! I have friends still in the company who will update me.

    • aquainst1 1 day ago Staff or consulting? And as bank staff, your direct manager is in another department (like Finance) vs. Marketing, yes?

    • Local_Penalty_6517 OP 1 day ago Bank staff at my company don't truly have a line manager, only the hiring department to report to. They're brought in to keep things running. I'd be doing just that, the bate minimum advertising activities to keep campaigns running for them. I wouldn't report to my old line manager at all anymore, which makes it that much sweeter.

InevitableAd9683 - 1 day ago When I was in college (back in the dark ages when this kind of thing wasn't as well-known), I had been too lazy to do an assignment and did the corrupted file trick to buy myself some time. I did the assignment and was waiting for the prof to ask me about it to send it in, but she never did. Instead I got 100% and a "Great work, keep it up!" in the grade book.
