Love is not how the Rom-Coms paint it. We are humans and we are beautifully complex. We've evolved so much so that we have to live with existential questions that will never be answered. For instance, how do you know when you have found “the one?” There is no real factual answer to that. Everyone has their own answer, but none of it is correct, nor none of it is wrong. It's a question that can never truly be answered, and yet we still strive to find love. Aw, yes, love. The reason humankind is so wonderful and awful at the same time. When one loves, you are risking a broken heart. And anyone who has ever suffered from a broken heart knows the complete and utter darkness that consumes you. However, love is always worth it, even with all the uncertainty it brings. But, looping back here, we are humans and thus very complex, so it only makes sense that a very one-of-a-kind human emotion is also complicated. That means love sometimes takes a lot of work. It's not because you don't love each other anymore, it's because you care so deeply about each other that you've agreed to work hard on that love.
