Matthew Richards @thegadgetdoc Replying to @ShibesOnTwit Follow I'm sad when I see a young kid playing on a tablet. Lazy parenting leads to a high likelihood of a bad outcome. Why do tech titans have agreements with their nannies to keep their kids away from screen time? It's bad for their development.

1+1 @fa86983.1d Please don't give your children iPads. One of my nieces, a 7-year-old who has never been outside of the Caucasus, began speaking Tagalog. We couldn't converse with her. I went through her YouTube history and it turned out she'd been watching a 16+ Filipino vampire drama series.

dille @nescartridges • 12h Adobe Flash's death was insurmountably a disaster for children's spaces on the internet

doomer @uncledoomer ⚫ 2d if youre a new parent with a small child, you can raise your kid to be what amounts to a genius level ubermensch compared to their peers by simply never letting them touch an ipad
  • 16
@_twinkbreaker -1d mika its crazy how you could be the best parent feasibly possible, but if your child spends a minute on the wrong side of the internet its all over and you can't do about it

serendipity @alphaserendipi ⚫ 1h Hey, hey, remember when commercials for kids products always used to have "ask your parents before going online" disclaimers? Yeah, that was like 2 decades ago and look at where in God's blue we are now. Scrolling one of the most toxic sites on the 'Net.AND FILMING IT.

Audrey! @AudreySP.9h whoever let their child do this is probably a bad parent but I wouldn't be lying when I say that there is something really funny about letting your 2 year old look at soyjaks on 4chan

Gabriel L. Silveira @gabriel_linf. 17h The quote retweets prove that generational shame is very much a real thing. "Every generation imagines itself to be more intelligent than the one that went before it, and wiser than the one that comes after it." -George Orwell

    • Optimus @SubToOptimus 18h Toddlers casually scrolling 4chan is a wildly dark timeline to see unfolding. This kid is gonna have every slur in the playbook memorized by preschool
