Living with roommates can be challenging, regardless of whether your roommate is your best friend, sibling, romantic partner, or a random person you found online. Chores can be one of the biggest challenges. In college, my roommates would always argue about whose turn it was to do the dishes. Then there's the never-ending thermostat battle. There's always that one person who needs to sleep under a million blankets and another person who sleeps with the window open in the dead of winter - and they live together. But in my opinion, the worst is when your roommate has people over, and all you want to do is hide out in your room and be anti-social. Regardless of who we are living with, we all face the same roommate challenges. But living with a roommate is also great (if you are friends) because you get to share all the mundane parts of life together. From lounging on the couch at 9 p.m. in the middle of the week watching movies to debriefing after a night out, and everything in between. You gotta take the highs with the lows.
