'She is the luckiest void alive': Brave Black Kitten Couldn't Find A Purrmanent Home After Being Saved From the Streets, But Was Wholesomely Adopted Before It Was Too Late

Hey feline friends, we hope you're having a cat-tastic weekend so far. We love all cats, no matter what they look like. Maybe they are a tripod cat, they are orange with zero brain cells, or they are a purrfect persian - to us, we love them just because they are cats! Unfortunately, not everyone thinks this way. Did you know that black cats have the lowest adoption rates? It's probably because people still think they are "bad luck", but we all know that not to be true. This story is about a brave black kitten named Hela, and her miraculous adoption story.

Hela was found in a box with her other littermates, but was luckily given to a local woman who had a nursing mother cat already. All the kittens found a home, except for Hela. The mother took in other stray kittens, but they didn't like Hela, so Hela was about to have to go to a shelter. Oh no!     This might be one of the cutest pictures of a void kitten we have ever seen. The pose, the presence, the power….the floofiness! We're obsessed, and we couldn't be happier that Hela is now living in her furrever home.

    throwawayStomnia OP 17 hr. ago This is Hela. Or Lucky, as I named her. She was found in a box by a woman from Facebook, along with her 5 sibblings. The lady found my ad saying that I have a nursing mother cat, and reached out to me. I told her to bring the box of cats to select 3 kittens that will be nursed by the mama, and Hela was one of the babies that ended up as my foster. I named her Lucky.

    After taking the kitten in, I reached out to my friend that lives in a village and needed a cat. He agreed to take Hela. It wasn't the most optimal placement for a kitten, however, homes for voids are hard to come by.

    And then, when Hela was 4 weeks old, I took in 3 orphans that were found in a dumpster. Because the kittens that were already at my place tried to chew on the mother I while the new babies cat's were nursing, I had to keep them in a separate room, which my resident cat didn't take well. I tried to give her to a petsitter, however, she was returned, so I made the tough call to give the kittens to their forever homes early.

    Literally one day before this happened, Hela found a better placement, despite the fact that I didn't believe it was possible. She is now in a home with another cat and dog to play with. Her name was changed from Lucky to Hela, she gets treats every day, and is a very happy cat.

    random420x2. 16 hr. ago Im "Hela" happy for the happy ending. I'm going to declare my Void the 2nd luckiest void alive. Wife heard something screaming, went and beat up a crow that was trying to carry off a 4 week feral kitten and then spent 30 minutes freeing him from the bush he escaped into keeping him from losing an eye. I woke up to the tiniest terror that I didn't want but was told (by wife)that it's California law that you have to take them in. AA

    This is my princess baby girl Buffy, I found her in a shelter where she hid in the corner of her crate. She was underweight, stress balding and petrified. Under it all, I could see the sweetest little gal. Back at home, I had a male main character who I believed would strive as a big brother. The day she realized we had another cat, she finally came out from under the bed. She was still petrified of people but her big brother got her to start exploring the house.

    A year later we have a beautiful long coat, lay on my lap and when she's scared, she runs to me for comfort. I consider myself the luckiest person in the world for being able to watch her over come her trauma and come out of her shell to become a goofy little princess Here she is staring at me like I string the sun and moon, it's a regular occurrence but she doesn't realize she completed our family

    carrotwax 10 hr. ago My cat was found in a Mr Lube with mom and his litter. 3 of his siblings had bent tails, likely from some heavy doors. He didn't. I've had him since he was 2 weeks old and he still runs towards me so happy every time he sees me outside.
