There are some songs that cross generational boundaries, and "You Spin Me Round (Like a Record)" by Dead or Alive might be one of them. It captured hearts and minds in the 1980s, giving a voice to the booming Brit-Pop genre, and giving Gen Xers all over the world a rhythm to groove to.

But not to be forgotten, Millennials and Elder Zoomers in 2009 were treated to Flo Rida and Ke$ha's interpolation of the song, "Right Round," which legally had to be played at every middle school dance or bar mitzvah in the next couple of years. (Also causing everyone to say, "You know his name is a play on Florida, right?" Yes, Jessica. I figured.) Alvin and the Chipmunks even covered it in the same year. It just needs to have a comeback on TikTok, and then it will truly be the song that unites us all. But until then, these memes will do the trick.
