You know those little trail mix types of snacks that they hand out on airlines? Those ones that come in an impossibly small bag, and are only good for a couple of bites and by no means are a substitute for the meal you're probably missing during the flight.
They usually hand these things out just after takeoff while you're still trying to calm your nerves that are (rightfully) frayed having your body propelled unnaturally at 500+ MPH into the sky. Strangely enough, that ridiculously small portion of goodness actually does wonders to distract your body from its current mortal peril.
It's like all your body needs are some processed off-brand salty carbohydrates in order to go, "You know what, the fact that I could die right now at any given moment is actually fine."
You can't blame anyone for not wanting to give up their snack, especially considering it's really the only thing they have going for themselves at that particular moment. This snack certainly didn't smile back after this entitled mother insisted that a complete stranger relinquish the snack that was handed out.
