  • Dogs roaming in the desert.

While driving down the desolate desert highway At first they thought that the moving objects in the distance were "wild animals", prairie dogs. So imagine their shocked faces when they realized that the animals, were actually two puppies. "At first we thought they were prairie dogs, until we got closer and were able to see exactly what they were," Vanness told The Dodo. "Then we stopped and got out of the car to check on them."

It was very clear that the 2 puppies had sadly been abandoned out in the scorching desert. At first the brothers thought it might be difficult to get the dogs to trust them enough to get them in the car. They looked clearly malnourished and dehydrated, yet that didn't change their friendly attitude. The puppies didn't need any convincing from the brothers, and seems to only be looking for love. When the brothers invited them to join their road trip, these puppies didn't need to think twice. "We didn't have to capture them – they literally jumped in out car," one of the brothers explained.

The brothers gave the puppies small amounts of water and food, in order not to shock their deprived systems. They said that after a short ten hours, the puppies really started to perk up.

  • The brothers were so heartbroken and in shock that you can even hear them saying in the video they posted to Facebook "I can't believe someone just left them out there."

We And people all over the world couldn't believe it either. Many have given praise to the brothers, not only for picking up the puppies, but knowing what exactly to do. I.e not feeding them so much and giving them too much water.

The brothers said the the puppies were a joy the rest of the trip. Once in Colorado, they called a friend who rescues animals. Not surprising, the playful and adorable puppies were quickly placed in a new home and together! But not only that, they also got a new brother or sister!
