Meet the Tweddy’s, animal friendly family from the UK, who decided to fulfill their dream and buy a zoo for their kids
-
Dean Tweedy, his wife Tracy and their three daughters Paige (8) Sarah (9) and Sophie (13) have taken up residency with hundreds of animals after snapping up the Animalarium Borth Zoo.
-
The family left her former home in Milton Regis, Kent to take up residence with hundreds of animals at the zoo in Ceredigion, Wales.
-
The family, who already have 30 pets of their own, were looking for a petting farm so psychotherapist, Tracy, could incorporate more animals into her work.
-
The Animalarium attracted 27,000 visitors in 2016 and was put on the market after the previous owners decided to retire.
The zoo is home to more than 300 animals including lions, leopards, crocodiles, snakes and an albino wallaby - and a team of zoo keepers.
-
The family have now moved nearly 300 miles across the country to start their new life as zookeepers.
