Raylan is a senior doggo with over 130k followers on Instagram, whose bio reads, “Raylan is a purebred mutt who enjoys getting beer for loved ones, road trips, and cuddling with his foster kittens.” Need we say more?
Raylan's hoomans like to take in foster kittens from their local humane society. Luckily they have Raylan, who's more than willing to step in and help raise the kittens as his own. In this particular video, he took a strong liking to his owner's four blind foster kittens they had taken in.
Raylan likes to pick the kittens up and carry them to where he thinks they need to go, let them climb all over his body as a jungle gym, and let them snuggle up against his fur for a cat nap.
"I think he really helped develop and come out of their shells as they grew up and prepared them to be well-socialized, confident cats," Raylan's hooman said.
But as happens to all foster animals, they get adopted. The video goes on to show Raylan becoming all mopey once his kittens have moved on to their new homes. The only thing that gets him up is when his hooman calls out, "Do you want to play with a cat?" Not even the dog park or a walk can break him out of his funk.
Luckily, his hoomans are constantly fostering more kittens, so Raylan gets to meet new friends and becomes his happy and excited self again, going through the journey all over again. We are obsessed with Raylan, and you should be, too. Follow along on his journey with all of his foster kiddos here.
