Even as hoomans, every time we look up at fire escapes, our legs shake for a little bit. Those metal balconies never seemed that secure to us, and if we can avoid it, you will never see us set foot on one.

While cats are usually not that scared of heights or narrow spaces, we could never blame any feisty feline who gets nervous being so high up on a fire escape, and this includes the adorable Cosmo in the video down below.

When Julie the cat sitter was called by her neighbor, who asked for advice on how to get a cat down from her fire escape, she knew her help was needed.

She then spent almost two hours trying to help this sweet and frightened kitty get back into the safety of her neighbor's home, even though he was almost as scared of her as he was of the fire escape.

Eventually, after an honorable team effort, Cosmo got to safety and was later adopted by the same neighbor who made the call. Keep scrolling to watch the inspiring rescue video!
