Text - - UnoDeadlyWang-o 483 points 5 months ago Jail deputy here. Inmates are extremely clever. The arts and crafts are what blow my mind. Text - [-earnedmystripes 1777 points 5 months ago Ex jail officer here. Found a device used to boil water. We sold Ramen on commisary. It was a piece of metal broken off from an air vent with wires from their cell light wrapped around it. Attach the the wires to the spliced power cord for their tv and it would heat the metal bar. The hand le was made from a bunch of rolled up request slips. They would set up obstacles and play 18 holes in their cell. 23 hours a day in the RHU made them get creative.

Caffeine - - DarrenEdwards 598 points 5 months ago At the prison museum in Deerlodge, Mt there is a wire with scorch marks and razor blades on one end. It looks like a disemboweling device. However, it was made by an inmate to plug into a light socket and electricity traveling between the razors would warm water for coffee.
