Life is rough and sometimes you just need to curl up with a book about it. Therapy is great, don't get me wrong, it's important to talk about your feelings. But sometimes you need to get away from your brain for a second. Like a little thought vacation. That is kind of difficult since you literally are your brain, so how can you step away from it for a little bit? Books. Believe it or not, the answer is books. This is when your brain is actually so hooked and active about whatever story you're reading, that you are actually transported out of whatever worries you were just concentrating on and now you are riding a dragon through the clouds, or uncovering some harrowing mystery, or even just learning about some real person's extremely interesting life.
