It's funny that the only places we're allowed to role-play are while playing Dungeons and Dragons, in theater/film, and… a secret third place that I won't mention. What if I want to role-play in the office? I'll pretend like I'm a disgraced billionaire heiress who lost her fortune by partying too hard and now has to get a real job. Might add an interesting flavor to the day. Or on the subway, I'll put on an outfit from the 1940s and look confused whenever I see an iPhone. Or I'll show up to the doctor's office wearing scrubs and acting like I know how to insert an IV. Okay, that last one might be illegal.
But the point stands. Acting like you're somebody else is fun and we should do it more often. Good thing we have DnD to keep us on the straight and narrow, though, or else things might get weird.
