Everybody loves kittens, but that doesn't mean your older cats will… Unfortunately, some cats don't like new additions to the fur family. Luckily, there are ways to give your cats a slow transition so they aren't traumatized while trying to figure out if these felines are foe or friends.
One cat mom shared her two-week process of introducing kittens to her cats. She already as two adult sister kitties as pets and really wanted them to get along with the new pair of kitten siblings she adopted. She took things slowly. Keeping them apart but switching their toys around so they get used to each others smells. Then eventually introducing them. One of the older cats loved them right away, but the other was not so keen. She hissed, bit, and hit and the cat mom was starting to get very worried. But she stayed patient and took things slowly and then one day she found them all cuddling. Now, the kittens even see the “meaner” one as their mom. A beautiful ending to something that can be a very stressful situation. Now they're all one be happy fur family! See the adorable POV below!
