The summers of our childhoods were filled with all sorts of fun and memorable activities: having week-day sleepovers, riding bikes all around the neighborhood with backpacks packed with graham crackers and Sunny D, and pretending to be mermaids at the public pool with your childhood besties. One of the best activities, however, was simply relaxing and watching TV without worrying about finishing your homework first. Although Spongebob was enjoyed year-round by all, summer was a particularly good time to be a fan of the cartoon. Those summers are long gone, and most of us now consider summer to be just another season rather than a break from our responsibilities.
