When you work an office job, somehow it doesn't matter how many hours of sleep you've gotten or how healthy your lunch was, 3 pm hits and you're feeling drowsy. All the 9-to-5ers know how real the 3 pm slump is. It hits you HARD. You would think at that point your lunch is fully digested, so you would have more energy to burn, but apparently not. Apparently it's when your brain starts talking to you like you're a toddler, telling you, “That is enough screen time, it's nap time." Except you're an adult now and you aren't paid to have a nap, you're paid to stare at a screen for 8 hours to make pretend pieces of paper that society has given such value to, that wars are created over them. Like, what happened to the good old days when we'd eat wild berries by the creek and could take a nap whenever our eyes felt heavy? Society is great and all, but dang, why did we have to stop nap time after kindergarten??
