Oh, if you are someone who hasn't lived with cats their whole life, then you really have no idea just how greedy they can get. It doesn't even matter if they actually like a thing or not. As long as they know that you don't want them touching it, they will do everything in their power to do just that.

Listen… generally, we do not support pettiness of any kind. It's good to keep your standards high for yourself in every situation. But here… being chosen by your cat… yeah, we can totally see how that would make you at least just a little bit smug.
