Tipping culture has been a hot topic recently, with customers wondering what services they're actually tipping for if they order a speedy cold brew or grab a quick bagel. In response, service industry workers have gotten creative. If their customers think that their services aren't “tip worthy”, then turning it into a fun game might do the trick. Recently, service workers have been doing “this vs that” tip jars, where two fictional characters, celebrities, or concepts are pitted against one another in a battle to see which the customer prefers. Pretty darn clever, right?
Another trend that is archaic but classic is humanizing the tip jar, say, calling it Phil for example. Phil wants money. He needs it to survive. Or a plastic fish who can only swim in money. Some of these ideas are just the tip of the iceberg. They can get really weird so I left some out for your sake. I will say that if you'd like to see more of these funny jars, there are thousands upon thousands of images online. This is a curated collection from yours truly. You can throw me a tip in the comments.
