Part of what makes memes so great is how they can draw from the most unexpected of places. A silly photo someone finds on their camera roll, a typo, a quote from somebody being interviewed on the street—all of these things can provide almost endless material for funny stuff that we chortle at on the internet.

In other words, the world of memes rewards a desire to explore, because that's the only way we get a steady stream of fresh material to mix in with the tried and true. That's likely how most of the images in this list came to be, and how many more memes will be created also. Curiosity is no bad thing to encourage, especially in these wacky, post-truth times we find ourselves living in. While internet humor may only further complicate this, at least it provides us all with some welcome entertainment while doing it.
