'Hogsmeade and Quidditch': Potterheads Dream Up Their Ideal Hogwarts Weekends as Students in an Enchanting Discussion

This discussion might be one of my favorite things to dream about when it comes to the wizarding world of Harry Potter. 

As fun as it can be to think about switching roles with Harry himself, and imagining yourself fighting Voldemort and other dark wizards, the real fun in being a Hogwarts student is to get to explore everything Hogwarts and its surrounding has to offer, and if you are a student, the best time to do it is on the weekends. 

That is why Potterheads enjoyed sharing their ideal weekend as Hogwarts students in this Reddit thread, and I have to say that they got really creative with their answers. It's not just about visiting Hogsmeade and playing Quidditch – From The Room of Requirement, the restriction section in the library, and the prefect's baths, there is so much to do, as only so many weekends.

    That's only accessible for 2 or so years of one's life unless one comes back to the school as a faculty member. I would've been spending every waking hour at the restricted section. From Dark Arts

    to Elemental magic, I'd have been reading every single book in that section. By the time I'd have graduated, I'd hope to be more knowledgeable than Riddle was when he graduated.

    VonDOOM 5 days ago Found my people. I would study continuously in potions, charms, transfiguration, and defence against the dark arts/dueling, with a little herbology thrown in. Then once I'd reached a highly proficient level I'd retire to North America, and live in California hidden among muggles.

    mttxy 5 days ago 6th year has N.E.W.T.-level classes, so I guess I'd spend most of the weekends studying, going to Hogsmead during the allowed days and occasionally going to the lake to talk with people.
