Have you ever felt like King Théoden of the Rohirrim? One minute, you're a dazzling and respecting king of Men, galloping atop an illustrious horse named Snowmane and the next minute you can hardly recognize the bedraggled, creaking form in the mirror. Sallow-haired, exhausted, and withering away, Théoden was on the verge of a menty-B when the evil whisperings of Isengard were in his ear. Yup, that's how everyone feels on a Monday morning on the way to work.

But lucky for the Riders of Rohan and the inhabitants of Meduseld, some doorman refused to deny an old man his walking stick.

When Gandalf burst through the hall's doors, staff in hand and snarky comments on the tongue, Théoden was in for a transformative experience that would be for the betterment of all of Middle Earth. Therefore, be silent and keep your forked tongue behind your teeth; trust that one day–even on your worst days–a robed man will come rushing to your aid to save you.
