I was there when controllers had cords, screens had scanlines, and blowing into a cartridge was considered high-level tech support.

It all started with a rectangle paddle and a square ball, and I've been chasing pixels ever since. Sure, the graphics got better, the soundtracks got orchestral, and the storylines started making grown men cry (looking at you, The Last Guardian). But here's the truth: I didn't outgrow video games. They grew with me. They evolved from basement button-mashing to full-blown, emotionally devastating epics with 100-hour side quests and photo modes.
