As someone who lives in a bagel-centric part of the world, the idea that it's anything other than a perfect breakfast option is astounding to me. It's such a common order that it doesn't even need explaining. Bagels are synonymous with mornings, breakfasts on the go, waiting in line at a bagel shop, and perfecting your go-to order.
