If you are a fan of folklore, then you have to be a fan of cryptids. We're talking about the infamous Mothman, Bigfoot, the Chupacabra, Nessie the Loch Ness Monsters, and even the Jersey Devil. My personal favorite, as someone who grew up in northern Pennsylvania, is the not-so-well-known cryptid, the Squonk. Squonks are so ashamed of how ugly they are and they cry so much that they can turn into a puddle of their own tears to escape situations. I love them. Anyways, Appalachia is full of spooky folklore that will make you not want to be outside after dark. But it's not just ancient mountains that carry these scary tales. Places all over the world have interesting folklore that birthed cryptids like the Chupacabra and Nessie. A couple of classic cryptids, if you ask me. So, if you know your cryptology and want a good laugh, then might we offer you some cryptid memes? You don't need a blurry photo to prove these memes will make you LOL.
