If there is one thing that you should all know about us by now, it's that we love animals. All animals. Small animals, big animals, baby animals, senior animals and everything around and in between. And our dream - yes, our dream - would be to be able to hug and pet and hang out with all of those animals that we love and write about every single day. We would love to be able to cuddle with a pride of lions. We would do anything to pet the soft and highly grumpy Pallas' cats. We would give everything we have to become lifelong friends with some bears or go for a swim with a giant fish.
But no matter how much we may want to have these animals as pets, some animals are just… not meant to be that. Some animals are wild, and they are going to stay that way. So at least for now, we are going to have to look for some substitutes, and we think this person is onto the solution.
Look, we really were expecting something intensive here. A snow leopard and a cat… makes sense to substitute one with the other. Some would argue (that would be us) that cats are like little big cats. So, w e were expecting a lot from this thread, but what we got was even better.
Yes. Just yes. Once we saw this second tweet, we knew where this was going, and we were very much in support of it. Cats are the best, and they really can be a substitute for any wild animal that you want. Cats are cute, they're funny, they're smart (or not, depending on the cat). They can be anything, but they end up being everything.
