You know what's funny? The fact that when we were kids, and also when we were teenagers, we used to groan and cringe whenever our dads told a particularly bad dad joke. And now that we are parents ourselves, we can't help but tell the same stupid jokes to our kids, who groan and cringe just like we did. And it's not that our sense of humor changed once we became parents, The truth is that we always found these jokes funny, we just found our parents cringy! One day our kids will become parents themselves and they will pass on these cringe-worthy puns to their kids and so on. It's a long line of dad jokes that started somewhere in the Middle Ages and are still plaguing society to this day.
