Some cats are cuddlers. If you have a feline who constantly needs your attention–meowing for treats, begging to play, and hopping into your lap at every opportunity–you're probably the cat parent to a cuddle-beast. While cats are natural-born predators, the house cats of today are blessed with a special 'Snuggle Mode' that keeps the mean beans in check and the pointy teefs behind those frisky whiskers.
Thus, the kitty cuddle puddle was born.
But as every hooman parent knows, when you're introducing your feline furbaby to your real-life human baby, there are some worries to attend to right off the bat! Firstly, since your first child (the cat) is used to getting dibs over the entire house, naturally, they'll take over the baby's new crib as their own. Rightly so. And secondly, since your newborn baby is also likely to be slightly nocturnal, your feline can take the night watch as your tiny human's kitty purrtector in the evenings. And finally, your cat will complete their felinesque duty of being the household cuddle machine, forming a snuggle puddle with your baby at every opportunity, offering their softness and warmth to facilitate the best nap your baby will ever have.
So while they're the same size and of equal cuteness, enjoy those tiny meowments with your cat and your baby. Your kiddo may outgrow the crib they share with your cat, but they'll never outgrow their love for felines.
